Helix Marine is constantly expanding to house our aquaculture species, grow-out tanks and research. We strongly believe that Canada needs a domestic breeder supplying quality marine fish, coast to coast. And we are quickly filling that need.

Our approach to aquaculture is a bit different than most.  We don't believe in cramped "factory style" breeding and raising. All our breeding pairs have established tanks with live rock and sand for a more natural life in our facility. The young are also grown out in rock filled tanks with lots of room to grow.

Our Mandarin and Ruby Red Dragonet spawning tanks are massive 200 Gallon Shallow reefs with multiple harems of males and female groups living together in a natural environment. Our computerized lighting, flow control and continuous copepod dosing all help recreate a natural photo period and environment, while our camera controlled egg collection automation makes harvesting easy and low maintenance.
